I started as a chat and forum moderator for Wolfhome, Chatlands' flagship site. It was your typical moderation gig - you watch users interact, ensure that the content they are posting or chatting about follows the website's guidelines, and handle support tickets that are submitted.

Chat moderation was primarily active; you would engage with users in the same room as you until called upon by a user via private message, joining their room and addressing issues appropriately. However, moderation was also performed through support tickets, and while the majority of them were harassment-based, there were technical support tickets intermingled. Forum moderation was based on reports and browsing, with a lot of the work being janitorial.

After a year of moderating, I was promoted to Administrator, and subsequently Lead Administrator. This put me in my first real community management position, as I managed the staff teams and made iterative improvement to internal and external processes and policies, writing both technical and general documentation for users and staff.

I continued to perform moderator duties when needed, but focused on community engagement and ways to grow the platform. I engaged the community by communicating openly with users and fostered a sense of community by acknowledging their contributions, welcoming new signs, and recognizing active participants. I organized and participating in community events, contests, and initiative to encourage interaction and collaboration.

I was tasked with creating the company's Discord community after the forums were sunset. The server was created in August of 2022 and went live in December 2022, achieving Discord Partnership only a couple months later in February 2023. I develop the server's structure, policies, and bot tech stack, ensuring that they align with the company's objectives.

I engage the community by communicating openly with users in a friendly and approachable way, fostering a sense of community by acknowledging their contributions and welcoming new members. I recognize active participants and organize and participate in community events, contests, and initiatives. The users trust me to serve as their advocate and representative within the organization.

Monitoring KPIs and metrics to ensure growth and engagement to drive iterative improvements is also a part of my duties, and I am lucky that Discord does the majority of the work for me with their analytics tools!

Our Discord moderation team is recruited, trained, and actively monitored by me. I oversee their progress and review their actions to ensure that they align with policy.

I am the Administrator for the Minor Protective Services team on Fur Affinity's website, leading a small team of moderators. We respond to reports of submissions that contain both fictional and real CSAM content, with the latter resulting with an FBI report from myself. We also safeguard children on the website by ensuring that they do not have access to mature content, and respond to reports of grooming and predation.
